Syncrude Aurora Base Plant & Mine Services
North American Construction Group (NACG) was contracted by Syncrude Canada Ltd. for various aspects of work at their Base Plant and Aurora mine site. Construction Work Authorizations (CWAs) are issued for each piece of work required and are normally completed on an hourly basis utilizing numerous types of equipment and manpower.
As one of the largest contractors at Syncrude, NACG supplies labour and equipment for pipeline corridors, haul road construction, fire line installation and repair, access road construction, laydown and assembly pads, traction sand haul, reclamation, road maintenance, shovel support, earthen structure development, MSE walls, mine development, and many other projects which contribute to Syncrude’s overall success. The vast majority of the work is undertaken through a force account agreement (FA). NACG has just finished year 3 of a 5 year contract for Base Plant Reclamation. NACG has an 8 bay shop and office facility at Ruth Lake which enables us to service Syncrude in a timely manner due to the close proximity of the complex.
